I prepare the people who guide survivors — equipping leaders, facilitators and educators to carry healing into their own rooms. — SD
This is train-the-trainers. For facilitators already leading groups — and for those ready to start one — Sharon teaches a movement-based practice for survivors of sexual assault and other trauma. This is beyond talk — where we are recognizing, feeling, releasing, and then transforming the memories stored in our bodies through the movement, workshops and the article co-productions.

“I could lead a different workshop every weekend for a year. The work is limitless — and so is the need.”
The numbers. The Why.
Why I carry this work forward.
I was pulled into this as an incest survivor. I remember thinking, “When I get out, I’m going to find all the other kids and we’re going to stop it.” I did find them, and we are changing the tide.
I choose to stay because I was given a gift to share — a unique and powerful way to create change, from one person within, which then ripples out into the world.
The greatest power I have ever witnessed are those who have made the bravest choices… to stop, search, feel, express & transform all that energy!
We are the change.

of Support for Innermotion
The Association describes Innermotion's performance at its 1998 Tampa training conference as a uniquely powerful alternative to traditional victim-sensitization lectures for investigators.
Across more than a decade, Innermotion reached over 50,000 people — performing at state conferences, child-abuse-prevention events, college campuses, correctional facilities and the international VOICES in Action conference, through four original works: Show-N-Tell, Dream Scape, Innocence, Betrayal & Acting In/Out and Incest Boot Camp. Its work was covered by The Daily Reflector, Cultural Quarterly, the Miami Herald, City Link and Coalition Commentary (Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault) — and studied at Stanford's Graduate School of Business. I have had the privilege of knowing Sharon Daugherty since 2012 through our work in the victim services field. Over those years, I have watched Sharon bring her passion, creativity, and lived experience as a sexual assault survivor to nearly every aspect of this work—from advocacy and survivor-centered initiatives to training, public speaking, community engagement, and awareness events. Sharon is truly a ball of energy. When she believes in something, she doesn’t simply participate—she finds a way to make people pay attention, get involved, and remember why the work matters. She is an exceptionally creative, out-of-the-box thinker who has a gift for taking difficult subjects and finding meaningful ways to engage people without losing sight of the survivors at the center of them. I have seen that creativity firsthand. Sharon organized a community flash mob to raise awareness about sexual violence, brought the powerful What Were You Wearing? survivor exhibit to our community, and created the Field of Hope to honor survivors. These weren’t simply events; they were experiences designed to start conversations, challenge assumptions, and create space for survivors to be seen and heard. Sharon also brings something to the stage that can’t be taught. She combines professional experience with lived experience, authenticity, humor, passion, and an ability to connect with people. She understands victim services from multiple perspectives and isn’t afraid to challenge traditional thinking when she sees an opportunity to do something better. After more than a decade of knowing Sharon and seeing her work, I can say that she brings tremendous energy and heart to everything she does. Whether she is delivering a keynote, facilitating a training, consulting with an organization, or developing a creative community initiative, Sharon will make you think—and very likely inspire you to approach the work differently. I am pleased to recommend Sharon as a speaker, trainer, consultant, and passionate voice for survivors.
“While we initially had a structured agenda, I want to acknowledge my incredible colleague Sharon, whose insight and leadership reminded me that sometimes the most powerful moments come when we allow space for honest conversation and raw emotion. Because of that, what unfolded was transformative. The young men who arrived hesitant and guarded began opening up in ways none of us could have fully anticipated. By the end of the evening, we witnessed the beginnings of trust, connection, and relationship-building — the very foundation of this initiative.”
